Most people have an opinion about Network Marketing or MLM.  Many have been
involved with companies or known people that might not have been ethical.  The
image that comes to mind for most is a badly dressed, pushy, door to door salesman
that won't take no for an answer or garages full of floor cleaner and "motivational"
audio tapes.  There are often promises of outrageous amounts of money for almost
no work at all.

That being said, we happen to know (and be related to) highly successful Multi Level
Marketers.  It is not a business for everybody.  But it is a business for ANYbody.  It is
one of the few businesses we've seen that requires no special training or knowledge.
It really is a level playing field and anyone can take it as far as they'd like to provided
they are aligned with a reputable, forward thinking company that has a proven track
record.

Research  How do you check these companies out?  Try both the FTC (Federal Trade
Commission) and
Direct Selling Association Members List.  DSA members have pledged
to abide by and uphold the provisions of DSA's
Code of Ethics which is designed to
protect both members of the direct selling field sales force and the ultimate
consumer. Each direct selling member company has completed a one-year pending
period during which time the company's policies and procedures are reviewed to
ensure compliance with the DSA Code and with the laws and regulations that affect
direct selling companies.

Jumping in  Once you've decided the company is legitimate and you're ready to jump
in, JUMP! If success does not happen in the first 3 months of signing up, the odds
that you will continue with the company or have success is very low.  Stay in the
groove and do something to help your business everyday.  Getting the proper training
is very important.  Listen to your upline or their upline, or whoever is able to talk to
you and ask for help.  You need to be self motivated, but are not expected to know
everything right away.
Brilliant Exchange is a great MLM training website.  The
owner, Tim Sales, has been in the industry for over 20 years and really knows what
he's talking about.  You don't have to listen to just your company's training material.
All Multi Level Marketing companies work just about the same.

Mindset  The most important part of the MLM business, or any business, is your
mindset.  If you are not confident in yourself and the company, you cannot expect to
succeed.  You do not need to know everything or already be successful to be
confident.  Confidence comes from inside, not from the outside.  Whether it's tapes,
yoga, meditation, or exercise, do whatever you need to do to get your mind in the
right frame where you are able to allow success to happen.  We've had fantastic
results with the
Release Technique.
