Self Employed- "Boy, I sure would love to be able to check that box on
questionnaires.  It would be so great to own my own business.  I could make my own
hours, be my own boss, not have to answer to anybody, spend time with my family,
and get all those great tax deductions."  Who hasn't heard that same thought or had
it themselves?  The American Dream, right? Well, in some ways, yes, being self
employed allows you to make the call, but also holds you responsible for the call!

We are a quirky, motivated, mostly driven, sometimes lazy bunch.  Most of us that
are self employed cannot imagine going back to a life working for someone else.
There is something quite special about owning your own business.  Despite the long
hours, pressures, and responsibilities, there is a great satisfaction and joy knowing
that you are directly responsible for your success.  Your reward, whether it be
financial or recognition, will be directly proportional to your efforts (usually).

Self Employed Parents take it to the next level.  Let's take all that responsibility of
our business and add one, two (or more!) kids to the mix!  What could be more fun?
Well, we have been there, done that, and are still doing it.  We searched to find a
community of business owners that understood not only our concerns about our
business, but those of our family as well and could not find one.  So, being the self
employed entrepreneurial types, we created our own!
